Poetry

My Brother

By An anonymous SWEA

This poem was written by a super woman after the untimely death of her cousin brother, who she dearly misses.

From the time of our childhood

Memories have gathered

From days of playing cricket in the alley

To the rides in the car to school

Time was spent together

Always had a feeling of love from a brother

Who would hold my hand when need be

Always would feel proud of your achievements and success

The thread which was invisible

But yet which bonded all of us,

Gave me an opportunity to look high upon you

Where do I start and where do I end

No words no words can describe the pain

For now we all are trying to gather

Are our memories of time spent with you

As that’s the only thing you left behind

We want to feel your presence

We want to turn the clock backwards

We want you among us, brother

Dear you left us in a rush

Touching our lives with love and warmth

Your presence will always remain in our hearts

Rest in Peace Bro…
